When a person comes to me and asks me, Hey, can I even get approved for a mortgage? I like to talk to them about, you know, what their goals are
and what they’re looking to do, and I try to take it to a more personal level so that we can then dive into their finances
and actually show them that they can be approved for a loan. Most everybody can be approved for a loan,
whether they get approved for the amount of loan that they need to get approved for now, or we can talk about the next steps of what they can do
to get approved for that purchase price that they’re looking for down the road.
A lot of people assume they either qualify or they do not, but that is usually not how it works. Sometimes you are ready today. Sometimes you need a smart plan to get there. The key is understanding your goals first and then building the right mortgage strategy around them.
